Greene County businesses, ag producers and organizations generously support the Greene County Fair with sponsorships. The 97 banners hanging on the grandstand represent 97 sponsorships of $250 or more. There are also many sponsorships at lesser amounts.
Sponsorships allow the fair board to host Gunnar and the Grizzly Boys followed by a fireworks show as FREE grandstand entertainment Friday night, as well as Poppin’ Penelope and Chris Camp “The Whip Guy” on the fairgrounds Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Sponsorships also underwrite the cost of the tractor pull Saturday night and the Grand River Rodeo Sunday. (There is a small admission charge for those events.)
The Greene County Fair runs through Sunday and concludes with the junior fair premium auction Monday morning. Many businesses support the premium auction individually, including Greene County Chamber members, who will be represented by a single bidder at the auction.
